Christmas 2018 Research Meeting

Venue
Our Christmas Research Meeting will take place the Royal Society of Chemistry, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, on Monday December 17th 2018. On-site registration will be available from 09:00 - 09:50 during which delegates can partake of coffee and pastries. The meeting proper will commence at 10:00. 

Theme
As usual, the Meeting accepts papers for both oral (up to 30 minutes including 5 minutes discussion) and poster (A1 or A0) presentations in all areas of ionic liquids / molten salts research and development. The MSDG is particularly keen to promote the work and activities of younger researchers so participation of students and post-doctoral workers is most welcome.

The Inman Lecture
This year’s Inman Lecture will be presented by Professor Rasmus Fehrmann from the Technical University of Denmark. 

Abstract submission
Deadline (extended) = 5pm Friday 7th December 

One-page abstracts should be prepared using the MS Word template found here, without adjustment; this needs to be submitted in WORD format (not as pdf) via e-mail to leigh.aldous@kcl.ac.uk by the above deadline (after which time inclusion in the published book of abstracts cannot be guaranteed).

Please also note that all presentations will be via a USB enabled laptop PC and data projector only.

Meeting registration 
Formal registration will be on-site on the day of the meeting, however, in order to make appropriate refreshment provisions, delegates must e-mail their intention to anna.croft@nottingham.ac.uk by Monday 10th December. 

Meeting fees
Payment of registration fees by the PayPal facility below or direct bank transfer/purchase order is strongly preferred. 
Advanced payment by invoice is also possible by contacting Dr Anna Croft; payment by cash / cheque at registration is possible, but advance notice of your intention to do so should be e-mailed to anna.croft@nottingham.ac.uk.

Regular £98
Reduced rate* (retired etc.) £75
Students £ 35

*Bursaries 
Bursaries for students and retired members are available upon application to Dr Anna Croft. Decisions on awards will be made by the MSDG Committee one week prior the meeting.

Commercial presentations / promotion
Contributions from relevant to molten salt and ionic liquid industries are welcome. These are mostly posters, brochures, electronic displays etc. with information on company profiles, products, and recruitment information. Please contact  anna.croft@nottingham.ac.uk for pricing.
